We require all nannies to be a high school graduate and at least 18 years of age with at least two years of verifiable childcare experience. For long term positions, we prefer nannies to be at least 21 years of age. All of our nannies go through a very thorough interview process which includes an online application, face-to-face interview (with the owners), and previous employment and child care related reference checks.
In addition, all of our nannies undergo a complete background screening which includes a DMV record check, social security verification, a criminal background investigation along with a sex offender database search to ensure the safety of the families. Only care providers we would feel confident hiring ourselves are accepted into our profiles of nannies.
We offer the following services:
Full Time and Part Time Placements
All of our nannies can perform any duty that a family may ask of them. Ranging from household management, pet care, house cleaning, laundry, cooking, errand running, and much MORE!
We want to make sure that our clients are 100% satisfied with their nanny placement, therefore we offer a 120 day guarantee on all of our Long Term nanny placements. In the first 120 days if you are not completely satisfied with your nanny, we will find you a replacement nanny at no further charge to you. If you decide you would like a replacement after the 120 days, we will pro-rate the credit amount and apply that to a new placement fee. We will credit your account $75 dollars for each remaining month left in your contract and then subtract that credit from your new applicable placement fee. We also offer a 30 day guarantee on temporary or summer positions that are three months or longer. If you are not satisfied in the first 30 days we will find you a replacement at no charge, after the first 30 days have passed there will be no replacement or credit.
Live-In Nanny - $1400
Live-Out, Full Time - $1200
Live-Out, Part Time (less than 15 hours per week) - $900
Summer Nanny - $500
Temporary Nanny - Please contact us for your specific rate
Hand In Hand Nanny Placement Process:
In order to start your search for your perfect nanny we ask that you first fill out a Family Application and submit it online in order to proceed with your in-home consultation, at the time of your consultation we will collect the $100 application/home consult fee. This fee is non-refundable and will be credited towards your placement fee. After we receive your application we will call you to set up an in-home consultation. We highly recommend an in-home consultation in order to meet our families in person and also for the safety of our nannies.
During the consultation we sit down with you and your family and go over what you are looking for in a nanny (duties, hours, start date, salary, qualities, etc). This personal meeting will help us get the best understanding of your family's needs. During this consultation we will provide you with a folder of information on employing a nanny, this will include tax information, available First Aid/CPR classes, activities, etc. Our mission is to help guide you throughout the process of finding the perfect caregiver and in this process we will send you Nanny Profiles that we believe would be a good fit for your family. We will provide you with an explanation of the timeline and rest of the process once you have decided on your perfect nanny!
After placement we are always here for you if you have any questions or concerns, so please don't hesitate to call. We also like to check up periodically and make sure everyone is happy and things are going smoothly. During the year we also offer picnics and events for our families and nannies as an opportunity for nannies and families to meet each other and set up play dates!
